Mage D'Estruval can get back to winning ways, with Ramirez, Sea Ferry, Imps Way and The Lyme Volunteer taken to give him most to do. Mage D'Estruval caught the eye in no uncertain terms when a close second to Cobreces on his British debut on heavy ground at Haydock in February and was then pitched into the hurly burly of the four-miler at the Cheltenham Festival in which he was pulled up when tailed off. He was taken off his feet somewhat on the faster going, and with hindsight was just not ready for that test. He remains a horse of potential though, and at the age of six has more scope than today's rivals. Ramirez gained a hard-fought win at Newbury in March, and this out-and-out stayer can give the selection most to do. Sea Ferry gained two confidence-boosting successes between the flags before turning out at Leicester where he made far too many mistakes but still managed to finish second. If his jumping improves, he can make a bid for the frame at least. Imps Way was pulled up at Newcastle in February but had shown fair form beforehand, while The Lyme Volunteer looks held by Sea Ferry on previous running. We take Mage d'Estruval to make amends for his Cheltenham lapse.
