Verdict

Peter Bowen saddled the winner of this last year so Ffos Las third Berea Court may be worth a second look. Be Devious was third over C&D in May while Langley House was runner-up at Hexham last moth, albeit beaten 11 lengths. Party Girls will surely improve on her debut effort at Sedgefield and has to go on the short-list but Donald McCain has a terrific strike rate with ex-pointers in bumpers and MULLIGAN'S MAN, a winner between the flags in Ireland in May and a distant relative of Gold Cup winner Mr Mulligan, could be the one today.
