In depth

Verdict

Nothing is ruled out. CARRY ON has a win in the book but has to concede weight to all as a result. His stable is in cracking form though and he didn't run at all badly on his subsequent start. He should be on the premises despite his penalty. Lough Har showed promise on a final pointing run and Volunteer has some adequate form in the book in the context of this contest, whilst Xcitations wasn't beaten too far on debut. Both newcomers are interesting as Seamus Mullins, who runs Mahler's Promise, has his string in fine fettle and it's always noteworthy when Graham Lee deserts the Flat to ride in a bumper as is the case here with Jedd O'Keeffe's Call Me Freddie.
