In depth

Verdict

Crucial Role and Robin The Raven have already been beaten carrying penalties for respective earlier successes. The latter is preferred back in this grade having fallen in a handicap hurdle last time but COLONIAL DREAMS (NAP) can take advantage of the weight concession. Nicky Henderson’s charge ended last season winning a bumper at Southwell and is a half-brother to a prolific winner over hurdles. Scarborough Boy debuts for Charlie Mann having placed in a point-to-point while One Leader is related to decent handicap hurdler Dashing Oscar and makes his hurdling bow.
