    Verdict

This is a very tricky handicap and Ferimon is given a narrow vote ahead of McEvoy and Commander Vic. Henry Daly's charge returned to the racecourse with an excellent effort behind today's rival Cassia Heights. That was his first run since January so should come on for the run and he does enjoy a three pound pull in the weights. McEvoy is the pick of three five day entries for Evan Williams and this ex-Irish performer has some solid form, particularly on softish ground, so any more rain would aid his cause. Commander Vic is an interesting runner as he goes straight over fences after just three hurdle races. The stable is back amongst the winners and this one doesn't look too badly treated off a mark of 102. The best of the rest could be Liverpool Echo, but Ferimon is expected to improve leaps and bounds and he gets the verdict.
