ERADICATE was a very comfortable debut winner at Taunton and can defy a penalty to follow up here, while Samsons Son could be the one for the forecast. The selection showed a turn of foot to cruise clear between the last two flights last time and was full value for more than the official five length winning margin. The ground should be of no concern and he can go in again. Samsons Son showed promise on his debut and was not knocked about when beaten. He will have learned plenty there and he should be better for this decent ground, so improvement looks almost certain. Markila was a soft ground course and distance winner last month but a penalty plus half a mile further did for her last time. The latter may well be her problem again today. Missinlucan is an interesting runner now he has had a recent outing and it would be no surprise to see Thomondgate show more with A P McCoy back on board. Eradicate can take the last.
