In depth

Verdict

Plenty of unknown quantities amongst a number of potentially smart performers representing powerful yards. Newcomers such as River Pirate (Nicky Henderson), Castlemore (Philip Hobbs), Bison King (Charlie Egerton) and Another Sparkle (Venetia Williams) make plenty of apeal on breeding and should be closely monitored in the market. Of those to have already raced, General Duroc may need this having ben absent for over 10 months so the tentative TEAMtalk vote goes to Musimaro who showed plenty of encouragement when third of 18 at Plumpton three weeks ago. Oliver Sherwood's charge will have benefitted from the experience and should go well with Tony McCoy booked.
