Shuhood looks to hold an excellent chance here and can get the better Space Cowboy. Following a very good third to Trouble At Bay on his hurdling debut at Kempton, the selection was stepped up in grade at the Aintree festival, and not disgraced in finishing ninth to Al Eile. This represents a big drop in class and he must go close if on top of his game. Coolbythepool, Haile Selassie, Shava, Red Chief and the lightly raced Prince Holing have all won on the Flat and have to be considered for the places, but Space Cowboy might be the one to chase the selection home. He has shown fair form in being placed in three of his four hurdling starts and, in time, ought to win his novice race. Today, though, he might have to settle for a place once again because we are giving the vote to Shuhood.
