In depth

Verdict

Talbot Lad remains in good form and might be able to win again, with Fiery Peace and Supreme Arrow rated as his main dangers. The selection has risen 30lbs in the ratings as a consequence of winning three of his last five races but has proven that he goes really well at this track so might just prevail again. Fiery Peace is also a course winner and he comes here seeking a hat-trick and, despite having been raised nine pounds in the ratings as a consequence of those wins, looks set to go well. Supreme Arrow is now just four pounds higher in the ratings than for the second of his wins gained last autumn and, with Tony McCoy booked, will have his supporters. With Jericho Iii being seven pounds better off for the eight lengths that he finished behind Talbot Lad here on April 8, he could go well too but, overall, we are happy to side with Talbot Lad.
