Verdict

A poor turnout for this showcase handicap with the TEAMtalk nod going to the lightly-raced Burning Truth who won well at Hereford before arguably running a better race in defeat last time out at Wincanton in a slowly run race. April Louise is a consistent mare who rarely runs a bad race. She is overlooked today as she has yet to show a decent level of form on a firm surface. Harmony Hall was rated 118 in his last hurdles race and looks thrown in on this mark of 100. That race was back in 1999 but he has been kept busy on the level this summer so should lack nothing for fitness. Dabarpour has a reasonable level of overall form but could struggle against some better handicapped opponents.
