A small field here and one that can be dominated by Allimac. There was plenty to like about the gelding's win at nearby Hereford in May and he ran well enough in defeat next time out. Both those runs were on fast ground and with that to his advantage again here, Henrietta Knight's five-year-old can go in again. Course winner Marcus Maximus makes his chasing debut here, and with Henry Daly having winners already he must merit respect. Sure to have been well schooled, the Woodman gelding will also like the ground and looks certain to give the selection most to do. The remainder look moderate, with perhaps Blythe Lady being the one to run into a place if anything untoward should happen to the other two.
