MAX BYGRAVES landed a gamble for connections on his recent return and can follow up here despite being raised 12lb for that win. Charles Street and Potemkin could emerge as the biggest threats while Alkar's participation depends on how he comes out of Wednesday's assignment at Southwell. The additional three furlongs here will undoubtedly suit Max Bygraves as he appeared to relish the test that was put to him in the closing stages at Kelso last time. Charles Street is unpenalised for a victory in a conditional jockeys contest last time and off bottom weight looks a danger to all given the clear improvement that Evan Williams looks to have brought about in him. Potemkin is handicapped now following four indifferent runs over obstacles. He shapes as a stayer and now in handicap company should be competitive but Max Bygraves is the selection.
