Love Triangle should be capable of landing this prize, with Middleham Rose and A Double Ewe Bee put forward as the likely dangers. Martin Pipe's gelding has the best form on display having finished an excellent third behind La Lambertine at Taunton. That followed a promising effort behind the top class Yankeedoodledandy at Sandown. This looks a very weak contest and he will take all the beating here. Middleham Rose is the obvious danger, she hails from a yard in form and has run modestly well in much better races. This drop in grade could be what she needs and looks nailed on for a place. There are a few interesting newcomers including the Gareth Charles-Jones trained Blue Nun and A Double Ewe Bee. The last named is trained by Bill Turner and could be the type to make a modest hurdler. So all in all a very poor event and Love Triangle should be head and shoulders above these rivals
