Soft going and an absence since October are concerns for supporters of Flashing Glance and, though he still has some scope, Richard Johnson deserts him in favour of the maiden Awake At Midnight, who doesn’t look badly treated on his handicap debut. All Is Good has shown improvement since tackling soft ground and justified market support at Hereford last time, though is upped in grade here. NIGHT OF SIN couldn’t handle Grade 3 company at Ascot last time but had only found one too good at this level previously. He is still 4lb higher but Chester Williams takes off a handy 7lb today. Doncaster third Cyrius Moriviere also has claims and he makes more appeal than the Dan Skelton pair, Whatzdjazz and Bertimont, and Huntingdon scorer Birch Hill.
