Verdict

Folie A Deux looked a fortunate winner at Taunton last month and will do well to follow up off a 5lb higher mark here. Former pointer Malin Head was well backed when successful at Folkestone and still has some scope, however, while this is a lot less competitive than the races Craiglands usually contests and Ian Williams' 10-year-old has dropped to a lenient-looking mark. Civil Servant needs to improve on what he's shown so far, however, and Babysitter has been well below his best this season while Marias Rock would prefer more give in the ground. The booking of David Bass for ERE ALFIE catches the eye and, racing off the same mark, the gelding can repeat last year's success in this race.
