Red Brook Lad can get the better of An Capall Dubh and Bosham Mill, with Drombeag an obvious contender if lining up. The latter lined up with a favourite's chance at Sedgefield on Tuesday, and so is unlikely to turn out, but if he did, that would put a different complexion on the race. However, in his likely absence, this still looks an above average hunter-chase in which Red Brook Lad gets the nod. Charles Fox's veteran has been a revelation since teaming up with Charlotte Tizzard, winning four of his last five outings under rules, and has been in form between the flags as well. He only just gets three miles on an easy track so today's conditions are perfect for him and he can prove too good for An Capall Dubh. Sheila Crowe's charge did us a favour when dominating proceedings here a fortnight ago to gain his first success under rules, and with Richard Burton in the plate again, he will go close. Bosham Mill ran a blinder when second to Drombeag at Huntingdon, given that he had been absent for 789 days no less. A former Listed winner on the Flat, he has the class to be involved in the finish as well. All things considered though, Red Brook Lad looks the safest option and can make up for the fact that connections do not intend running him at Cheltenham or Aintree by at least adding yet another victory to his tally.
