Verdict

A disappointing turn out for the decent prize money on offer but connections of Double Bogey Blues won't be complaining, as this looks a sound opportunity for the seven-year-old. Michael Mullineaux's charge was no match for a useful rival at Ayr last time but had previously landed a competitive handicap over this trip at Hereford from a mark of 94 and a reproduction of that form should suffice at this level. The son of Celia Rufo has nothing to fear from Orient Bay who ran poorly behind the selection last time and is now 8lb worse off. Jackem was a fair hurdler at his best last year but has looked on the downgrade this term and has shown nothing on either of his two chase starts to date.
