Verdict

Gap Of Dunloe created a favourable impression when scoring by 15 lengths on his hurdling debut at Ffos Las. David Splaine's claim negates his penalty but there are some promising novices in opposition here including OTTO THE GREAT, who ran the useful Lexi's Boy to a length-and-a-quarter at Ayr last month. If he can reproduce that form over this longer trip, Nicky Henderson's four-year-old may be the one to beat today. Tuscan Gold also warrants a mention but Alan King's dual Flat winner has been a little disappointing so far over timber and a couple of these may have too much speed for winning pointer The Fish Pot. Ballycassel and Greenlaw look best of the rest.
