Normanby Road put up his best effort for a long time at Sedgefield on his latest start, and if he can reproduce that he would be very much on the shortlist here. Exterior Profiles, who drops into selling company for the first time this season, is a consistent performer in this grade and runs off a fair mark here, so looks one of the better options in a weak affair. Marginal preference, though, goes to Doberman. He ran well from a long way out of the handicap in a better race over course and distance last time, and should find this company easier than Chief Cashier. That was his first start over timber for three years, so he clearly has more scope than a lot of these, and is worth taking a chance on. Misbehaviour and Fraternize do not appear to have been done any favours by the handicapper on their first attempts in this grade.
