Analogy can add another course and distance victory to his tally, with Dantes Venture, Fantastic Champion and Diamond Monroe seen as his main rivals. A winning stayer on the Flat for Sir Mark Prescott, Analogy made an immediate impact at the winter game when scoring on his debut for Charlie Mann at Fontwell in August. He subsequently finished down the field in the Triumph Hurdle but it transpired that he had suffered breathing problems, and with a tongue-tie fitted for the first time, he made amends in fine style here in April. For one reason or another, Analogy did not take his chance when produced at Fontwell three weeks ago, but we are prepared to give him another chance back over this longer trip. Fantastic Champion, fourth that day, is in fact better off at the weights now, but does not make as much appeal. Dantes Venture will be a danger further down the weights, but he too looks beatable, and Diamond Monroe, a former course and distance winner, may need conditions even faster to be seen to best effect. All in all, Analogy appears to be the safest option.
