      In depth

      Verdict

PRESENT GESTURE's form stands out and she is preferred to Gold Reef, Helen Wood and Markila. The selection was a winner for AP McCoy at Newton Abbot back in March and has held her form well since. She was only beaten 23 lengths by Voler La Vedette at Leopardstown last itme out and that form stands out. Markila represents a local yard who do very well at the track; the longer trip today should be within her compass. Pyleigh Lady returns from an absence and this may just be a pipe-opener before a return to fencing although she shouldn't be ruled out, Giovanna is a course winner who stays well, whilst Gold Reef's effort behind Strawberry reads well and she still looks fairly handicapped with the yard now in better form. Covert Mission has been holding her form well but at a lower level, but of more interest is Helen Wood who has been off for 640 days but was formerly fairly smart and she is chucked in if back to anywhere near her best. An open affair really, but the vote goes to Present Gesture.
