BOB HALL is the class act and he is preferred here to Mr Ed, Lord Alfred and Oopsmylord. The Jonjo O'Neill trained gelding has had a good career, albeit interrupted by injuries at various stages. His best form last season came on quicker ground and he was beaten on his seasonal reappearance, however his class will hopefully see him through today. Mr Ed is a stout stayer but he signed off last year with some average efforts and he needs to be back to his best. Lord Alfred may be slightly better on quicker ground, Steve Flook does well at this time of year and Oopsmylord is more than capable of playing a major hand although he was well-held behind Mr Ed back in May. Lady Myfanwy has been fairly proilific under both codes and her jockey knows her well, whilst market moves for Hoh Nelson or Cracking Cliche could be ominous. The market will guide, but Bob Hall is the one to beat.
