Abbie McCain is developing into an accomplished amateur and should get a tune out of her father’s Hit And Run. Sister Ella McCain partners December’s Catterick runner-up Irish Hawke and he’s another to consider. Nikki Steel could easily bounce back and Goal led until the last when third at Taunton when last seen and has shown a liking for this course in the past. BLAZON is still a maiden but ran a nice race at Huntingdon in March on his return from a break and this looks a weaker race. Excellent Team has been out of sorts but is a previous course and distance winner and shouldn’t be written off just yet.
