In depth

Verdict

Cashel Dancer is selected to beat Castanet and Good Lord Louis, with Compton Commander worth noting in the market. Cashel Dancer has threatened to win on a number of occasions this season, but always seems to find one or two a bit too good. She remains one to keep on the right side of however, and a reproduction of her victory at Hereford last year would be enough to see her back in the winner's enclosure. She appears to go on any ground but the trip is the key as she was found wanting when third to Smart Savannah over two miles here a fortnight ago. The step back up in trip will be a big help and she can win at the main expense of Castanet. The latter has yet to win any sort of race but has turned out here before and could have been a lot closer at Kempton recently, but for being given too much to do. Good Lord Louis has much more to offer than he has shown so far and comes from a top yard, while Compton Commander, a beaten favourite last time out, would be of some interest if the market speaks in his favour. Overall though, Cashel Dancer makes most appeal.
