Verdict

MONBEG GOLD completed a double in handicaps with an easy success at Southwell last April but didn't jump well on his hat-trick bid at Uttoxeter. He makes his debut in this sphere and should be good enough. The Dellercheckout is unbeaten in three starts between the flags and also landed a handicap at Towcester a year ago so looks an obvious threat while Llancillo Lord was in good form in similar company last spring. Dieu Vivant was in touch when impeded and unseating his rider here last month but it's a long time since O Ceallaigh showed any form though he'll get a good ride from Tommie O'Brien.
