Verdict

Gerard Mentor was no match for DOBRYN when both made their debut in a Hereford bumper last October. Sam Thomas’ gelding then made all in a Plumpton maiden over timber in January and he looks one to follow. Qualismart is already rated 125 and will probably start favourite. He beat a subsequent winner at Market Rasen on his introduction and was then third in a Class 2 at Haydock, though was well beaten and needs to learn to settle. Quinta Do Mar wasn’t beaten far at Market Rasen on his hurdling debut so also warrants a mention.
