Verdict

Topweight Native Fling has claims on the form shown when beating Asparagus at Chepstow in January on heavy ground and ran well enough under similar conditions to these at Exeter recently. However, his better form is on a softer surface and he is probably bets watched today. Henrietta Knight's Umbrella Man is 8lbs higher than when scoring over course and distance in January and was in the process of running a big race off today's mark at Wincanton recently. He won't mind the faster conditions here and, if none the worse for that tumble, he looks the one to beat. The Ian Williams-trained Idealko did not beat much when winning over course and distance last month and has more to do off a 5lb higher mark. Neither Suspendid nor Shannon Quest make much appeal on their recent form.
