    Verdict

Aforementioned did well to finish runner-up to Doctor Duffy at Kilbeggan but found soft ground against him at Ballinrobe so wouldn't want any rain. Jack Dillinger has now had seven runs over fences without winning and has been beaten a long way in handicaps but Stacks Mountain, who made too many mistakes on his chasing debut at Roscommon, did much better at Killarney and should improve again. He easily holds Ballymacaw on the latter run and though PILBARA showed no aptitude for jumping fences last year he's shown improved form over hurdles and is still only five so gets the vote. Star Max is also still a youngster in chasing terms and should be winning soon though he's taking a step-up in trip.
