In depth

Verdict

Ozzie's Way looked a likely future winner over fences when a close third over this trip at Kilbeggan and though beaten a long way into second at Wexford his jockey reported a slipped saddle. THE ABBEY won on the Flat in July and made a bold attempt to make all on his chasing debut at Downpatrick where he was only headed close home. That experience will have put him right for this and he looks another for Gordon Elliott. Aprils Joy scored on the Flat and over hurdles in mid-summer and started favourite over fences at Sligo but was brought down 5 out when in touch so looks a major threat. Memory Tree and Something Sweet both have experience but look vulnerable.
