Is That Love won this a year ago and bounced back to form over a trip too short at Cork a couple of weeks ago. DRAGON OF MALTA has returned to action in good form, following a fine effort at Galway with a narrow defeat by the in-form Earls at Roscommon and Jake Coen's claim puts him on a winnable mark. He holds Drombeg Duke on that latest run though the latter likes this track. Ransom's two victories came on Polytrack in the UK and he hadn't shown much for Denis Hogan before a much better run at Navan when only beaten a neck. He has to be a threat along with Galway winner Clear Quartz, who found soft ground against him on a return visit, while title-chasing Billy Lee was on board when Mary Salome won at Bellewstown in July.
