Blazer, one of four from the Willie Mullins yard, was engaged in the 4.20 here yesterday. Paul Townend would probably have had the pick of the stable runners and has gone for SHANNING, who started favourite for a similar-class handicap at Galway but could only finish third to stable companion Low Sun. That was his handicap debut after victories in novice and maiden company and, with the experience behind him, can land this nice prize. J P McManus is having a fine meeting and Barry Geraghty is on board Ivanovich Gorbatov, who can reverse recent Killarney running with Lakemilan on the revised terms, though the owner is also represented by Enda Bolger's Ballyoisin, who Geraghty has ridden to four victories. Boot Camp won easily at Bellewstown but has an 8lb rise to contend with in this much better race.
