A wide-open renewal but this race has been dominated by those near the head of the weights in recent years and a case can certainly be made for K Club, not beaten far when favourite last time at Chester. Ryan Moore won this in 2016 on a Cheveley Park-owned filly so Brighton winner Winter Light goes on the short-list but GALLOVIE is still heading in the right direction judged on a fine run at York so gets the vote. Further down the handicap, Cookupastorm could be interesting as she’s achieved a level of consistency and is probably still well treated. Prairie Spy won her first two starts and looked to be on the way back when fourth at Goodwood nine days ago. Her breeding suggests she’ll enjoy conditions today and she looks a decent each-way option along with Porcelain Girl, who has won two of her last three. Strict Tempo, Stay Classy and Lady Cosette are also worth considering.
