David O’Meara has sent a strong team down from North Yorkshire, starting with ALEEKA who has only found one too good the last twice over 7f and is bred to stay further. Near neighbour Mark Johnston also has three runners here today and Seductive Moment wasn’t beaten far here after a break 12 days ago. Warrior Display has been running better than his form figures suggest and was hampered at Wolverhampton last time. An opening mark of 58 seems reasonable while Um Shama is already a course and distance winner so can’t be ignored.
Seductive Moment (GER) 16-1 (9-2) Dwelt, close up in 5th, pushed along final furlong, not trouble leaders, 4th of 5, 2 1/2l behind Woodside Wonder (9-8) at Lingfield 7f (4) pol in Dec.
Aleeka (USA) 3-1fav (8-9) Led, ridden over 1f out, headed inside final furlong, stayed on same pace, 2nd of 10, 1/2l behind Essenza (8-12) at Wolverhampton 7f fll stks (5) pol in Dec.
Um Shama (IRE) 16-1 (8-10) Chased leaders, ridden over 2f out, went 2nd over 1f out, no impression on winner and lost 2nd towards finish, 3rd of 6, 2 1/4l behind Battle Of Wills (9-7) at Newcastle 1m (5) pol in Dec.
Warrior Display (IRE) 25-1 (8-9) In touch, outpaced over 3f out, stayed on from over 1f out, never a threat, 4th of 9, 5 1/4l behind Anycity (9-7) at Wolverhampton 1m 1f stks (5) pol in Dec.
