Fareeq has had wind surgery and his stable remain in good form but he’s proved best on Fibresand so far while Holy Tiber’s victory at Chelmsford came in an amateurs’ race over 7f – he hasn’t raced over a trip this short since making his debut at Doncaster as a two-year-old. A win for Billyoakes earlier on the card would boost the claims of Little Miss Lilly but she’s another dropping back down in distance. HURRICANE ALERT was behind the Cox filly at Kempton in October but that was a rare below-par performance. He’s since finished ahead of Temple Road here and should be in the firing-line. Mercers has slipped to a fair mark and is worth a market check.
