In depth

Verdict

SHOLOKJACK fell early on when tackling fences for the first time, but was a hurdler of some promise and winner of his sole outing in the pointing sphere. Admittedly, he faces experienced chasers here but is a chance worth taking as he may well prove too classy off what looks a fair enough opening mark. New Age Dawning has taken well to fences and should run his race once again, but the feeling lingers that he could probably do with coming down a few pounds in the weights. Therefore, Parliament Hill, who unseated last time, is seen as the main threat after producing a smooth Wetherby performance in November on the heavy. He's won on this better ground too, however, and commands plenty of respect. The best form of Enzo D'Airy also entitles him to shortlist inclusion.
