    Verdict

EL HOMBRE arrives in the best form having returned a clear winner at Wolverhampton recently with Merhoob well beaten. Keith Dalgleish’s sprinter should make another bold bid despite a 6lb rise. Mokaatil never threatened when fourth over the minimum trip at Wolverhampton with a below-par Alsvinder behind and the latter has yet to race over further than 5f in 27 starts. Zac Brown ran well at Yarmouth when last seen in action but that was in August and Doc Sportello never figured in last year’s renewal.
