Verdict
Hard to be confident about anything in this weak maiden however NEW COUTURE may be improving with her racing and is given the tentative vote. Peter Chapple-Hyam's filly has been big prices on both of her runs so far but this looks an easier assignment and any market support would be encouraging. Her pedigree is a mixture of speed and stamina so this return to ten furlongs may not be a bad thing and she can get off the mark at the third time of asking. Sacco D'Oro showed nothing in two bumper runs and tries the blinkers, Set Em Up Mo is rated 49, whilst Litenup steps back up in trip and is a frustrating maiden. Of more interest then is Lily Eva who is less exposed, the newcomer Zerzura who is from a classy family (albeit over shorter trips), and also Chanrossa who has been unfortunate not to win a race here before. The 75-rated Shakalaka doesn't look one for maximum confidence and is arguably flattered by his official rating. His second to Fleur De Lion in claiming grade last time reads fairly well and he is an obvious one for place money at least. Big Nige has stamina to prove as he steps up in trip, however in a competitive contest it is New Couture who is selected.
