A weak race in which we will side with LAURIE GROVE ahead of Rocky's Pride. The selection tries cheek-pieces for the first time this afternoon in the hope of improving on his run at Kempton last time out. His best effort to date came when racing over nine furlongs at Wolverhampton in October so the hope is that he should see out this longer trip. On the adjusted ratings he comes out joint top with Rocky's Pride. Gary Moore's gelding ran a better race at Kempton last time but was a bit flattered to finish as close as he did and hopes will be resting on this drop in trip/grade this afternoon. Rock Me is an average hurdler/chaser who has a rating of just 37 on the flat, Hector Spectre represents a stable to fear at present and the drop in distance should be no problem for this two-time winner, whilst Kamanja looks to be making up the numbers, having shown precious little in 12 winless runs to date. This should be a two-horse-race, and it is Laurie Grove who can prevail.
