If Secret Night is back on her best behaviour then she looks capable of taking this nursery from What Do You Know, Stoneacre Lad and Orchard Supreme. The selection won a similar contest over course and distance last month, but failed to settle at the start last time and scuppered her chances in the race won by Matuza. That runner has franked the form and despite her penalty, Secret Night looks to have a few pounds in hand over these rivals provided she settles here. The biggest danger could come from What Do You Know, who won here on debut last time and who is open to a fair bit of improvement after a break. Stoneacre Lad was withdrawn the other day in favour of coming here for this race, and he has won at both Southwell and Wolverhampton, with the latter suggesting he may also act here. He has gone up a stone for those two wins but looks sure to go well again here. Of the remainder, Orchard Supreme makes some appeal after three successive seconds, all by narrow margins. There does not seem to be a problem with his attitude and he will get his nose in front again soon, so that would not be a shock. However, Secret Night looks to have a bit in hand and we take her to score.
