A competitive bumper rounds off the card and Byland, Dans Pride and Sintos are all worth considering with the vote going to Byland. The selection is proven on this surface as he ran well over course and distance when last seen out. He finished second behind Lin D'Estruval that day and a reproduction of that effort would make him hard to beat here. Dans Pride rates the main danger as he is held in high regard by his trainer and he certainly ran with some promise on his debut at Ascot. However, he then went on to disappoint at Wincanton when fourth behind Cruising Clyde and he looks to have plenty to prove here. Sintos put up a fair effort when second behind Red Georgie at Worcester last time and he is sure to come on for that recent run. However, this looks more difficult and he will have to improve again to trouble the principles, so we will stick with Byland as our idea of the winner.
