Genuine Article is chasing a hat-trick and is put forward as our selection here at the main expense of Dad's Elect and Barton Nic. This gelding from the Mark Pitman yard has shown all his best form at Stratford, but he won with such ease there last time when beating Forever Dream that he is difficult to overlook to make it three wins in a row here. Dad's Elect could give him the most to do as he ran well enough when down the field behind Nawamees at Wetherby last time, and as this is slightly easier he has decent claims of at least making the frame. Barton Nic is back over hurdles after a spell over the bigger obstacles and he has got fairly obvious claims, but he has not been seen out on the racecourse since April and may just need the run. Avitta is from a leading yard and is another to consider, but for the winner we return to Genuine Article.
