chased winner until approaching final furlong, no extra in 3rd inside final furlong
always struggling in rear, never a factor
chased leading pair, squeezed through into 2nd approaching final furlong, no chance with easy winner
quickly away, made all, on rail, clear inside final furlong, unchallenged
The fillies look to have the upper hand on these terms. Stop The Wages went close in a maiden contest at Nottingham last time and should figure again but SPEED FREAK is just preferred. She was only caught in the closing stages over 6f in a handicap here a fortnight ago and Ralph Beckett’s charge is fancied to hold on this time dropping back to the minimum trip. She has a bit to spare at the weights with recent Ffos Las winner Zebspear and the remainder look to have even more to find if they are to figure.
