Verdict
Italian Tom won over 6f at Salisbury three weeks ago but has yet to race over this longer trip in 34 starts. He should stay the distance, but STARWATCH ran out such an easy winner over a mile here last week that he gets the vote despite a 9lb rise in the weights. It was soft ground when Cativo Cavallino posted a better effort at Yarmouth last time, but Hawk Moth went close at Brighton last month and should be thereabouts with a similar effort. Red Yarn has claims on her fifth at Newbury on her penultimate start.
