Verdict
TORTONI was considered disappointing after two short-priced defeats but the form now looks notably stronger than it did at the time. He's been given a good break since his third at Doncaster behind Telwaar and Julie Burke's claim sees Kevin Ryan's charge on an appealing mark. He can outclass this field. Pen Bal Crag was well beaten in the Weatherby's Super Sprint but previous efforts suggest he'll contend at this level, stepping up to 6f for the first time. Bop It has no stamina concerns after staying on well over this trip to score at Carlisle and enters calculations on that run with improvement likely. Fast On disappointed at Wolverhampton but it's too early to write him off sporting a first-time visor here back on turf.
