Verdict

SIMPLY SONDHEIM improved for being gelded when making a winning handicap debut on a trip up to Ayr last week. He won with plenty left in the tank and William Buick keeps the winning partnership intact. Aurelia Gold has placed over a mile on the all-weather and still looking for her first win while Cavendish ran below par when sent off favourite at Beverley last time. Vaxholm won the Polytrack here when last seen over today’s trip and is only 2lb higher.
