It's tempting to oppose DARSHONIN but there appears to be little strength in depth so we won't. Purple Gallery and Blues Forever are amongst the likely dangers. Jeremy Noseda has an excellent record here and Darshonin may well be able to enhance that for all that he hasn't looked to be entirely straightforward thus far. It didn't take long for connections to try him in headgear and that has the desired effect but he may not be one to trust at a short price. Purple Gallery is rated his equal which is fair enough given that there was nothing to choose between the pair when they clashed at the track over seven furlongs. The application of cheekpieces may enable him to find some improvement and he's the obvious alternative. Blues Forever has something to find with the selection on his debut running but he is entitled to be sharper for the experience whilst the debuts of Owen Jones and Pascalina were not entirely devoid of promise. However, Pete's Passion is of more interest given that she was prominent in the market ahead of her debut in a better race than this at York in July so it will be interesting to see what the market makes of her chance but preference, at this stage, is for Darshonin.
