The vote here stays with Desert Light, with Hiamovi and Segoria given as the main dangers. Davids Mark would hold good claims on form of a year ago and he showed signs of a return to form last time, although Gaudalpin holds him based on that form. Desert Lights' sole win has come over course and distance and, returning to that trip after a near miss over five last time, he is very much respected. Hiamovi certainly holds good claims based on his spring efforts and he cannot be ruled out in a first-time visor, while Long Weekend also can fancied on his spring form but has become a little disappointing. The drop in trip did not seem to improve Ringarooma last time, but Segoria has improved for it and still looks reasonably competitive. Zazous can have a case built based on some form, including a course win, as can Noble Mount, especially on Turf efforts. Beverley Beau is closely weighted with Segoria, Zazous and Noble Mount based on course and distance form on December 14th, which has to be borne in mind, and a repeat of his summer Turf form would also give Enjoy The Buzz a shout. However, the vote stays with Desert Light.
