Bollin Billy gets the vote ahead of Hadath, Sweet Pickle and, possibly, Taminoula. Bollin Billy improved last time to score over course and distance. Up four pounds for that, he still looks competitive today, and he has improved for having headgear removed. Hadath is now just two pounds above his seven-furlong course winning mark of April, but has won at today's trip. California Laws has shown some promise on Turf but needs to start confirming it now, while Times Review is back to a Turf winning mark of a year ago, but he has had only one run so far on the all-weather. Sweet Pickle came good in a seven-furlong Southwell seller last time in a first-time visor but, on balance, this is tougher from a winning point of view. Mirasol Princess remains on a fair enough mark but she is running out of excuses, but Taminoula is now back to around the mark he won from at Salisbury in August, so can be fancied on that basis, although connections have been trying him over distances up to 12 furlongs! Overall, then, we are happy to side with Bollin Billy.
