The likes of Davy's Luck, The Castilian and Down's Folly all have obvious claims and are bound to be popular in a competitive contest but Orinocovsky is potentially well treated and he gets the vote. The selection was undoubtedly flattered by his proximity to Cruzspiel at Huntingdon last time but a mark of 97 looks lenient on the pick of his hurdling form and Nick Littmoden's gelding may be worth a bet. Longstone Lady has claims if fit enough but may need the outing, while Magot de Grugy is probably best watched on his first start of the campaign. Corrib Drift is interesting first time in a handicap although more solid claims are held by Hereford winner Davy's Luck, if she handles today's slower ground. Martin Pipe's The Castilian has race of this nature in him but faces no easy task against older rivals, while Down's Folly is less exposed than most. Orinocovsky looks to have a fair mark though and he gets the vote.
