An open maiden rounds off the card and as usual in these events the market will give a good indication as to what is expected but the principals look to be St Francis Wood, Swainson and Johnny Rook and we will take a chance on St Francis Wood. The selection was outclassed in the Nell Gwyn Stakes behind Silcas Gift but this is much easier and a reproduction of her debut second behind Spotlight would make her hard to beat. Swainson rates the main danger he was a fair fourth behind Fine Palette last time and at least he has experience of this surface. Johnny Rock is another that could go well he is a well bred gelding by Woodman related to group winners and he would not have to be anything special to take a hand in the finish. Of the remainder Sailorman is another that catches the eye on breeding but his stable still remains quiet and for the winner we return to St Francis Wood.
